What problems have you seen with DIY Wills?

Lost money, property, and public notices of debts to name a few. Most DIY wills are invalid. Invalid wills are treated as if the person had no will at all. When this happens, the grieving family is in for unpleasant surprises. Besides the extra taxes and legal costs of opening a free-for-all probate case, the family can face the embarrassment of foreclosure at a public auction and having notices from creditors published in the newspaper. The saddest thing to see is when funds go to the State Treasury because the family lacks the necessary paperwork to claim ownership. Why go through all that trouble when a valid will through Duty Law starts at $600* and can provide peace of mind?
